Researchers used primary cultured volar (sole) or nonvolar (scalp) fibroblasts from healthy volunteers to test for distinctive responses to pressure, capacity for modifying skin identity in bioprints, and potential cell therapy through autologous engraftment of fibroblasts in a clinical trial.
