Cancer Cell-Mitochondria Hybrid Membrane Coated Gboxin Loaded Nanomedicines for Glioblastoma Treatment

The authors presented a biomimetic nanomedicine by coating cancer cell-mitochondria hybrid membrane on the surface of Gboxin-loaded nanoparticles. An additional design element used a reactive oxygen species responsive polymer to facilitate at-site Gboxin release.

ISG15 and ISGylation Modulates Cancer Stem Cell-Like Characteristics in Promoting Tumor Growth of Anaplastic Thyroid Carcinoma

The correlation between interferon-stimulated gene 15 (ISG15) expression and tumor stem cells and malignant progression of anaplastic thyroid carcinoma was analyzed by single-cell RNA sequence from the Gene Expression Omnibus.

Arginine Dependency Is a Therapeutically Exploitable Vulnerability in Chronic Myeloid Leukemic Stem Cells

Researchers performed an amino acid drop-out screen and applied pre-clinical models of chronic phase chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) to identify arginine as a nutrient essential for primary human CML cells.

Cancer Quiescence: Non-Coding RNAs in the Spotlight

When stress conditions are restrained, and tumor microenvironment becomes beneficial, quiescent cancer cells re-enter cell cycle to facilitate tumor spread and cancer progression/metastasis. Recent studies have highlighted the dynamic role of regulatory non-coding RNAs in orchestrating cancer quiescence.
