The authors differentiated iPSCs into cardiac, hepatic, and dermal fibroblasts and analyzed their properties using single-cell RNA sequencing. They observed characteristic subpopulations with different ratios in each organ-type fibroblast group, which contained both resting and distinct ACTA2+ myofibroblasts.
